A fairly healthy adult male was referred to our clinic for a recurrent inguinal hernia which was repaired by another surgeon one year prior. At time of the index operation,  a very large indirect hernia and cord lipoma were identified, and the hernia defect was covered with 3DMax mesh (heavy-weight) and secured with absorbable sutures. Post-operatively, the patient had significant swelling in the groin which never fully went away.

At time of our evaluation, a large recurrent inguinal hernia was noted which was symptomatic in terms of discomfort and achiness.
